The Main Ideas of the American Revolution and why it occured
The American revolution occurred because the English that had power over the thirteen American colonies were not treating them fairly to say the least. After the year of 1763, the relationship between the thirteen colonies and the English was very tense. The British treasury was weakened from the Seven Years War and the French and Indian War. To pay this off, King George 3 made the colonists pay for the war debt and supplies for soldiers on the frontier. The British began to force high taxes on the colonists. The set prices on these taxes were to expensive for the colonies to afford. In response, the American colonies rebelled causing the American Revolutionary War.
